Area Food & Night Spots
The concierge at your hotel will be able to make plenty of recommendations to you for places to eat and relax at the end of the day. But here are a few places we'd like to point out:
VooDoo Doughnut
22 SW 3rd Ave.
This Portland icon has a cult following that can only be explained by such culinary treats as the Bacon Maple Bar, the Voodoo Doll, Maple Blazer Blunt, a variety of Vegan delights and the fact that you can tie the knot under the giant doughnut hanging inside the building. A warning though: they are CASH ONLY and usually have a line out the door, but it's well worth the wait. Open 24 hours! (With advanced notice, we can have VooDoo doughnuts available upon your arrival at VuPoint.)
Portland Food Carts
Portland may not have invented the wheel, but they did reinvent the carts that those wheels ended up on. With well over 300 different food carts in over 20 locations, its easy to get a quick, delicious lunch for under $7. Your options within 10 blocks include Thai, Vegan Bowls, Tex-Mex, Indian, Cajun, Spam Burgers, Spanish fusion, Vietnamese and German food, to name a few. Just ask your hostess to point you in the right direction!
Andina
1314 NW Glisan
This Peruvian Tapas Bar won the Oregonian's
Restaurant of the Year in 2005 and hasn't stopped impressing all who have eaten
there since. It has been stated that Andina's contemporary Peruvian cuisine
amazingly and impressively still stars, a testament to owner Doris Pratt Rodriguez's
use of skilled Peruvian consulting chefs. Flavors from the extensive menu are
textural, portions robust and the presentations most handsome.
Portland City Grill
111 SW 5th Ave.
Portland City Grill features one of the best happy hours in the city, along with one of the city's best views! From 30 floors up, you can sit back, relax and enjoy attentive service, an extensive wine list and interesting American fusion cuisine.
Living Room Theaters
341 SW 10th Ave.
Comfortable seating, great food, excellent beer and wine selection, exclusive new released and independent films, and environmentally friendly all at the same time?!? What more could you really ask for in a movie theater?
Area Attractions
Like any large, metropolitan area, Portland is home to many museums, parks, historical sites, cultural centers and other points of interest. Information about such attractions are available in the Portland section at both Go Northwest and TripAdvisor.
Sports fans have several options to choose from, including Trail Blazers basketball and minor league hockey (Winter Hawks) and soccer (Timbers). If participation is more your style, there are plenty of health and fitness clubs, golf courses, parks and trails for walking, jogging or cycling.
Many beautiful state and national parks are within an easy drive Portland, including Mt. Hood, Gifford Pinchot National Forest and Tillamook State Forest. Similarly, it's an easy drive to Pacific coast destinations such as Cannon Beach and Rockaway Beach.
A number of popular attractions are within walking distance of our downtown facility:

bookstore in the world. Located in downtown Portland, Oregon, and occupying
an entire city block, the City stocks more than a million new and used books.

for every interest, including an incredible selection of out-of-print and hard-to-find
titles.
Museum of Contemporary Craft
724 NW Davis St.
In addition to the gallery of local art at the Downtown VuPoint Location, right around the corner is the Museum of Contemporary Craft.
